Assessment of Sustainable Biomass Energy Technologies in Pakistan Using the Analytical Hierarchy Process

Pakistan is not merely confronting the energy crisis but also dealing with scarcity of economical technologies for utilization resources. From basic resources, renewable one considerable Due to environmental issues related greenhouse gases (GHGs) and air pollution in Pakistan, other resources are constricted. In rural areas, biomass a fundamental need domestic purposes. The prominent reason degradation deforestation due ineffective use such Biomass heating cooking purposes abundantly available areas Pakistan. this context, study helps us select applicable cookstove Sindh province proper AHP (analytical hierarchy process) was used as central methodology ranking. Concerning its improvement, four main criteria corresponding 12 sub-criteria were considered selection three technologies, i.e., traditional cookstoves (TCS), efficient (ECS), biogas (BCS). final decision framework exposed ECS technology advantageous technology, followed by BCS TCS, respectively. To analyze results, sensitivity analysis major results has been carried out, under ranking matrix, alternative got highest weightage, nearly 36.56%, based on developed model.
